Bob Hick Earthmoving is a trusted, family-owned New Zealand business with over 25 years’ experience specialising in earthmoving and land development. We have a proven track record in residential, commercial, and industrial development projects, including road construction, earthworks and retaining walls.

Our Directors
Bob, the founding Director of BHE, brings over 55 years’ experience in the earthmoving industry.
He has been the driving force behind the ongoing success of the business and remains actively involved, taking a hands-on approach in operations. His time in the industry and expertise in land development are invaluable. Bob is renowned for providing innovative solutions that enhance project efficiencies.
In 2003, Jake joined his grandfather Bob at BHE as a machine operator. Over the years, he advanced into contract management and in 2018, along with his brother Matt, became a Director.
Jake plays a pivotal role in BHE's success, particularly in subdivisions and the establishment of the pole wall division. He leads pricing, tenders and contract negotiations, overseeing projects from start through to completion. Jake builds and maintains strong client relationships while ensuring meticulous management to consistently meet client expectations.
Matt joined BHE alongside his brother and grandfather in 2004, rising to become a Director in 2018. Starting as a machine operator, he later founded and developed the workshop and maintenance division of the company.
Matt now leads the custom workshop, managing service mechanics and the BHE fleet. He oversees plant movements, repairs and maintenance, offering crucial technical support to ensure efficient project outcomes. Matt is actively present on-site and maintains strong industry connections, facilitating timely project execution.
